His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to direct to be published, for general information, that since the Government notice of the 16th January, 1844, the following lands in the districts of the Swan, Canning, Lakes, Avon, Sussex, Williams, Leschenault, and Plantagenet, have been surveyed and marked out on the ground, and are about to be described in the Survey Office with permanent boundaries.

It is necessary to remind grantees of land, and parties who may be fencing boundary lines, that the Act referred to prohibits under penalty the injury or defacing of any land-marks which may have been placed under its authority for marking out the boundaries of grants, and by which the said grants have been described in the title deeds or otherwise. Full particulars connected with all such land-marks may be known by applying at the Survey Office in Perth, or to the respective District Surveyors.
Surveys are in progress in the districts of the Avon, Williams, Wellington, and Sussex,— as also in the townsites of Perth and Fremantle.
