NSW List of Absconded and Apprehended Prisoners (Convicts) to 18th March 1833

Principal Superintendent of Convicts' Office,
Sydney, 18th March, 1833.

THE undermentioned Prisoners having absconded from the Individuals and Employments set against their Names respectively, and some of them being at large with stolen Certificates, and Tickets-of-Leave, all Constables and others are hereby required and commanded to use their utmost exertions in apprehending and lodging them in safe custody.

Any Person harbouring or employing any of the said Absentees, will be prosecuted as the Law directs:—

Wilson Susan, Grenada (2), from Charles Wilson, Sydney 

Sweeney Matthew, No. 29-28, Governor Ready (2), Reaper, &c. Tipperary, 5 feet 5, brown hair, hazel eyes, dark ruddy complexion, scar in left eyebrow, and under left corner of mouth, fiom Hyde Park Barrack; 2d time of running

Robinson John, No. 32-2496, Dunvegan Castle, 19, Hawker, Dublin, 5 feet 6, dark brown hair, grey eyes, sallow to ruddy complexion, scar; on top of forehead, from Cornelius Bowling, Appin

Taylor James, No.,32-2779, Parmelia, 37, Farm Labourer, Suffolk, 5 feet 5, black hair, grey eyes, dark sallow complexion, lost a front tooth in upper jaw, scar above right elbow, scar on left thumb, from John Patrick, Campbell Town

Milner Thomas, No, 30-351, Dunvegan Castle, 24, Labourer, Staffordshire, 5 feet 3, brown hair, hazel eyes, ruddy complexion, specks on sight of both eyes, from James M'Dougal, Patrick's Plains

M'Nulty Terence or Thady, No. 29-1137, Eliza (5), 18, Errand Boy, Mayo, 5 feet 3, sandy hair, hazel eyes, ruddy and much freckled complexion, T M TM and other marks on right arm, from No 5 Road Party

M'Carthy or M'Cartney Hugh, No. 30-1856, Hercules, 19, Labourer, County of Down, 5 feet 6¾, brown hair, hazel eyes, sallow freckled and slightly pock-pitted complexion, from No, Road Party

Tyler Henry, No. 31-94, York, 19, Errand Boy, London, brown hair, dark hazel eyes, ruddy complexion, large circular scar over left ear, small mark on left arm, from No. 5 Road Party

James Lawrence, No. 29-878, Mellish, 23, Carter's Boy, London, 5 feet 0¼, light brown hair, brown eyes, ruddy complexion, dark mole under left eye, scar on right little finger, scar on fore part left leg, from No. 5 Road Party

Eales or Edrin Richard, No.30-354, Katherine Stewart Forbes, 20, Brassfounder, Birmingham, 5 feet 4½, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, ruddy pock-pitted complexion, large burnt scar along right jaw, and inside right arm, two middle fingers of right hand crooked, from No. 5 Road Party.
