NSW List of Absconded and Apprehended Prisoners (Convicts) 11 February 1833

PRINCIPAL SUPERINTENDENT OF CONVICT'S OFFICE
SYDNEY
11th FEBRUARY, 1833. 

THE undermentioned Prisoners having absconded from the Individuals and Employments set against their Names respectively, and some of them being at large with stolen Certificates, and Tickets-of-Leave, all Constables and others are hereby required and commanded to use their utmost exertions in apprehending and lodging them in safe custody. 

Any Person harbouring or employing any of the said Absentees, will be prosecuted as the law directs :— 

Mary Hely, No. 32-73, Pyramus, 23, Housemaid, Limerick, 5 feet 0½, hazel eyes, brown hair, fair pock-pitted and little freckled comp. upper lip hairy, two scars on back of left hand, scar on lower left arm, finger nails small, scar on centre upper lip, from Mr. John Morris, Sydney. 

Patrick Duffy, or Chughton, No.29-6080, Larkins, 23, Ploughs, Reaps, and Milks, County Roscommon, 5 feet 0¾, grey eyes, brown to black hair, dark ruddy freckled comp. from Mr. Loder, Patterson's Plains. 

Edward M'Gee, No. 32-2832, Parmelia, 23, Farmer's Labourer, County Tyrone, 5 feet 7½, hazel eyes, brown hair, fair and freckled comp. scar back of little finger of left hand, by which it is contracted, from Mr. James M'Dougal. 

Mary Amartin, No. 32-37, Pyramus, 21, All-work, Liverpool, 4 feet 9¾, brown eyes, dark brown hair, sallow freckled comp. scar on centre of forehead, scar on lower left arm, small scars on palm of left hand, from Mr. William Dunshea, Sydney. 

Mary Dolan, 30-403, Forth, 30, Cook and All-work, County Wicklow, 5 feet 5½, brown eyes, black hair, ruddy freckled and pock-pitted comp. from Mrs. Alice Bluett, Sydney. 

James Wilson, 31-185, York, 20, Weaver, Dumbarton, 5 feet 5¾, brown even, brown hair, dark ruddy comp. from Mr. William Singleton, Sydney. 

Alice M'Grath, No. 31-60, Asia, 50, Cook and Housekeeper, Meath, 5 feet 3, light hazel eyes, brown to grey hair, ruddy pock-pitted comp. perpendicular scar at top of forehead, right side, small scar on left jaw, from Mr. Daniel Carter, Sydney. 

John Kehoe, Medina, 42. Sailor, R. N., Waterford, 5 feet 3¾ blue eyes, brown hair, brown comp. from Mr. Richard Siddins, Sydney. 

Patrick Dunn, Bussorah Merchant, 41, Cooper, Wexford. 5 feet 3, hazel eyes, brown hair, ruddy much pock-pitted comp. from Mr. Winder, Windermere. 

William Wilkin, Elizabeth, 32, Farmer's Man, Breeon, 5 feet 1¼, hazel eyes, brown hair, ruddy comp. from Constable and Scourger at Stonequarry. 

Martin Joyce, No. 30-1598, Marquis Huntly, 17, Plasterer's Boy, Yorkshire, 4 feet 10½, grey eyes, light brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. man and woman, table, bottles and glass, on left arm, 1 small scar right side lower lip, from Mr. G. C. Curlewis, Liverpool.

Dennis Connor, No. 30-2478, Andromeda, 27, Painter and Glazier, Dublin, 5 feet 8¼ grey eyes, brown to grey hair, ruddy much pock-pitted comp. from No. 13 Road Gang. 

James Lawler, No. 30-2549, Andromeda, 19, Farm Boy, Tipperary, 5 feet 2¼, blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy comp. small horizontal scar left side of forehead, 1 scar at corner of left eye, hair on top of head thin, from No. 13 Road Gang. 2d time of running. 

William Clegg, No. 30-1148, Lady Faversbam 20, Foot Boy, London, 5 feet 2¼, hazel eves, light brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. from No. 13 Road Gang. 2d time of running. 

John Edwards, alias Wilson, No. 29-2667, Claudine, 23, Calico Printer, Blackburn, 5 feet 7¼, hazel eyes, brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. scar at outer corner left eyebrow and at right corner of mouth, from No. 13 Road Gang. 

William Fisher, Elizabeth, 38, Groom, Wiltshire, 5 feet 8¼, blue eyes, black hair, ruddy comp. from No. 13 Road Gang. 

Jonathan Harrison, No. 31-350, Edward, 24, Carter and Soldier, Durham, 5 feet 6¼, grey eyes, light brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. B under left arm and dark mole over right side of mouth, from No. 1 Road Gang. 

Garratt Coglan, Countess Harcourt, from Road Department. 

James Walkly, No. 28-393, Hooghley, 25, Errand Boy, Brighton, 5 feet 3¼, hazel eyes, brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. small scar on forehead, ditto on corner of right eyebrow, ditto on left nose, from Razor Back. 

John Leary, No. 29-3152, Larkins, 20, Boatman, Cork, 5 feet 4½, hazel eyes, brown hair, ruddy freckled and pock-pitted comp. C R on left arm, small scar under lower lip left side, from Razor Back. 

George Hughes, Elizabeth, 33, Fisherman, Swansea, 5 feet 3½, hazel eyes, black hair, dark ruddy comp. from Razor Back. 

John Rudd, No. 31-1432, Exmouth, 16, Cow Boy, Yarmouth, 5 feet 0¾, hazel eyes, brown hair, pale freckled comp. moon on upper part and light-house on lower part right arm, cross, I B R, star, man, anchor, and other marks on left, from No. 4 Road Gang. 

John Burns, No. 30-153, James Pattison, 36, Ploughman, County Wicklow, 5 feet 7, hazel eyes, dark brown hair, dark ruddy freckled comp. much hair on breast, slight scar on left side forehead, and scar outside right arm, from Argyle Bridge Party.

Bridget Lehane, No. 32-258, Southworth, 41, Country Work, County Cork, 5 feet 2¼, hazel eyes, dark brown hair, sallow comp. from 1st Class Female Factory.

Catherine Hurbey, No. 32-255, Southworth, 21, Dairy Maid, County Cork, 5 feet 2, grey to blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy freckled comp. from 1st Class Female Factory.
