A Good Mustard Recipe 1895



This recipe for a "Good Mustard" was submitted by A. Soyer, and was published in the "Women's Column" in the Weekly Herald (Adelaide) 8 February, 1895.

A GOOD MUSTARD. 

Mustard seed one part, weak, wood vinegar two parts. Pour the vinegar on the mustard seed and let them soak for a fortnight; then grind the whole into a paste in a mill and put it into pots, then thrust a red-hot poker into each of the pots.—A. Soyer's recipe.
