Brisbane Licensing Court - Publicans, Auctioneers, and Slaughtering Licenses - 11 January 1876

Publican's Licenses.

(Before the Police Magistrate, Messrs. R. D. Neilson, Hardgrave, W. H. Kent, and Hamilton Scott; JJ.P.)

A license was granted to Bernhard Simmons, for the Cafe Royal, Queen-street.

The following transfers were granted:—

The West Milton Hotel, from Martha Davis to William Briggs.

The Kedron Brook Hotel, from Jas. [James] Burnett to H. Shettling.

The Exchange Hotel, from Alex. Geo. [Alexander George] Littleboy to Peter Mellin.

The Empire Hotel, from Robert Downs to John M'Dermott [McDermott].


Auctioneer's License.

An auctioneer's license was granted to John Martin, of Queen-street.


Slaughtering Licenses.

Slaughtering licenses were granted to the following persons:—

John Blanc, Eagle Farm.

Lorenzo Sparks, Sandy Creek.

Christopher Blane, Kedron Brook.

Daniel Byrne, Nudgee.

A. C. Crump, Sandy Creek.

O'Reilly, and Ryan Samford.

Slaughtering licenses were also granted to the following, subject to payment of the usual fee:—

John Clements, Norman Creek.

B. Bulcock, Enoggora.

John Donaldson, Burnett Swamp.
