NSW Sale of Town Allotments - Maitland and Berrima - 31 December 1832

SALE OF TOWN ALLOTMENTS.

AT Twelve o'clock of Friday, the 12th of April next, the Collector of Internal Revenue will put up to AUCTION, at the Police Office, Sydney, the undermentioned TOWNSHIP ALLOTMENTS, on the conditions detailed in the Government Order of 1st August, 1831, No. 22.

The Allotments will be put up at certain minimum prices, and the highest bidder of those sums, or upwards (if free), will be declared the purchaser. But, before the bidding is accepted, the party will be required to pay down a deposit of ten per cent. on the amount of the purchase-money, and to sign an engagement to pay the balance within one calendar month, under penalty of forfeiting both the deposit and the ground.

If payment be not made within the prescribed period, the deposit will be forfeited accordingly, and the Allotment again open to the selection of the public.

The ground disposed of under these regulations will be held in free and common socage, subject to the nominal quit-rent of a pepper-corn, if demanded, but the Government will reserve to itself the right of constructing all necessary drains and sewers. All further particulars, respecting the ground, maybe obtained from the Surveyor General; and, respecting the conditions, from the Collector of Internal Revenue.

MAITLAND.

No. 1 — 2 Roods, Allotment No. 13 of Section 18; bounded on the North-west by George-street two chains; on the North-east by No. 12 Allotment 2 chains 50, links; on the South-east by No. 14 Allotment 2 chains; and on the South-west by Newcastle-street 2 chains 50 links. 2 — 2 Roods, Allotment No. 14 of Section 18; bounded on the North-west by No. 13 Allotment 2 chains; on the North-east by No. 11 Allotment 2 chains 50 links; on the South-east by High-street 2 chains; and on the South-west by Newcastle-street 2 chains 50 links. Applied for by Walter Rotton.

3 — 2, Roods, Allotment No. 9 of Section 15; bounded on the North-west by Banks-street 1 chain; on the North-east by No. 8 Allotment 5 chains; on the South-east by a reserved space 1 chain; and on the South-west by No. 10 Allotment 5 chains. Applied for by Henry Rae.

4 — 2 Roods, Allotment No, 10 of Section 15; bounded on the North-west by Banks-street 1 chain; on the North-east by No. 9 Allotment 5 chains; on the South-east by a reserved space 1 chain; and on the South-West by No. 11 Allotment, belonging to John Erskine, 5 chains. Applied for by Henry Rae.

BERRIMA.

5 — ½, Half an Acre, Allotment No. 14 of Section No. 2; bounded on the North by a Street 2 chains; on the East by Argyle-street 2 chains 50 links; on the South by No. 13 Allotment 2 chains; and on the West by No. 15 Allotment 2 chains 50 links. Applied for by James Harper.
