How to Prepare Spaghetti (1920)


How to prepare spaghetti:


Place spaghetti in stew-pan with enough salted water to cover it. Boil quickly for 20 minutes. Strain it. 

Melt 2oz. of butter in a frying pan, put in the spaghetti, and fry it slightly. Add to this 2oz. grated cheese and 1lb. of preserved tomatoes (chopped), or half a pint of tomato sauce. 

Cook gently for 20 or 30 minutes. 

Stir occasionally, season with pepper and salt, and serve very hot.
